Mugged Again, but Remembered to Sing

Yep, it's true, I got mugged again...They took my laptop! --sniff-- They also took about 2 thousand Lempiras in cash, my wallet with my id and driver's license...

Two guys on a white, beat-up motorcycle mugged a couple of guys ahead of me, but I didn't realize it until the robbers were right by me, asking me to throw my wallet, my cell phone, and my backpack on the ground. When I hesitated, one of them pulled out a small hand gun, and said, "Why are you taking so long, hand it over or I'll kill you!"

It all took place in one of the safest places in my daily route from work to my house. Usually there's a policeman stationed right at the place where the mugging took place. But at that moment, there was no one. I went to my house and called the police, and to my amazement, they arrived 5 minutes later! They usually take much longer in Honduras The other two guys who were mugged gave them the description of the guys who mugged us, and that was that.

I don't know when I'm posting again, since I now have to borrow a computer. I have to go, my nephew is waiting impatiently for me to finish posting....more info later

I didn't know you were mugged before!

I am glad that you are ok though. I know how much it sucks to have to get everything replaced - ID, license, etc. here in the US, and if it is half as bad as it is here (and it is probably worse right?) then that makes it so much worse. I know that the times when my wallet/purse has been stolen I have thought to myself, take the money and crap, just leave me my ID's.

Im sorry about the laptop and money being taken too. Again, I am just glad you are ok.

Getting mugged sucks! But you're alive and well which is the important thing.

Oh, we're both having a bad week, with thefts. I think a face-to-face mugging is much worse than an anonymous theft, though. I'm so sorry to hear of this, but glad you weren't hurt.

Thanks everyone. I think I won't buy another laptop...not unless I can afford a car. But as a friend was telling me, even with a car you aren't safe from being robbed.

I'll try to keep posting, but I think I'll take a break for a few days, so I can get all my papers back.
